Happy (Almost) Mother's Day

I happen to be somewhere with VPN internet this moment in time, and thus I am able to access YouTube and post this awesome video. (Better early than never?  I have to post it now because I will most likely not be able to on Mother's Day.)


I think I post this video every year at Mother's Day, and every year it becomes more and more applicable to my life. Because I have two sons, ages 19 and 14, this video is VERY near and dear to my heart. 

 


I am an only child. I (obviously) had no brothers. That an my father is basically a very quiet, highly educated software engineer-y type. He isn't into sports. I grew up with no loudish guy antics or shenanigans or tomfoolery. Thus, being the mother of two teenage boys has been... quite interesting! 


My boys live to torment/play with/annoy/interact with/insult/laugh with each other. A la:

Yep, this is my boys. Most likely the older one ambushed the younger one. However, the day the younger one was physically equally matched to the older one was an interesting day indeed, and they are now both evenly matched. Which makes life easier.

Happy (Almost!) Mother's Day to my mother and to James' mother, neither of whom will be with us on Mother's Day (the gift cards will be in the email boxes!).  I cannot imagine celebrating Mother's Day without having my children with me, like what they have to do, but I'm sure that day is coming for me someday.
